Caroline Turner, Director of Programmes

Graduate of the University of London, with a Bachelors in Social Anthropology
& a Masters in Economics & Marketing. In 1982, Caroline came to
live and work in Greece, embarking on Phd research on business development
in Greek. In 1987, she co-founded BREAKTHROUGH and she was appointed by
the European Commission (EC) in Brussels, as an expert on business development
and Intercultural skills.
A Major part of her work during the decade 1987-97 was European Coordination
of the Local Enterprise Initiatives Programme, on behalf of the EC. In
this context, Caroline developed and managed a funding, training and technical
support programme for business start-ups and growth, throughout the 15
Member-States. She travelled extensively throughout Western and Eastern
Europe, providing consultancy to Ministries and Organisations across the
EU, as well as hands-on training and support to businesses. She also authored
a series of Training Guides, on Creative thinking in Business, Exports
and Business Growth, published by the EU in nine languages.
Over the past six years, Caroline has been dedicated to the design, development
and management of executive and professional training programmes in Greece,
focusing on tailor-made English for Business and Communication Skills
Courses. She also manages BREAKTHROUGHs team of some 100 trainers
throughout Greece.
